Scouts and one parent/guardian per family will be free. If you cannot attend the overnight, but would like to join the next day, please let the cubmaster know.Other parents and 7+ year old siblings can be allowed for a nominal fee if space is available, and as long as we have no more than one adult per child overall ratio per zoo requirements. Indicate on the form if you are interested in extra parent or siblings.
Medical Form
Please ensure you have completed a BSA medical form prior to this overnight adventure. See link to right. The zoo will also require a liability waiver to be signed when we arrive.Details
Program will begin at 7pm the day of the snooze at the Stedman Education Building. Please plan to arrive no later than 6:45pm to unload your gear. Scouts and guardians will meet there for nighttime activities, then sleep overnight, and enjoy a day together at the zoo beginning at 9am. We're planning to do some activities in the park together the next day.Evening Program: Creatures of the NightGo batty over creatures of the night! Explore skills and senses of nocturnal animals in this fun and exciting program. We will shed some light on the mystery of what’s really going "bump in the night." Through presentations and activities, participants will develop a greater understanding of our nighttime neighbors, their roles in our environment and how we can help them. Students will have a blast building bat boxes and a hoot dissecting owl pellets.
