Add Parent to Scout

Are you trying to add a second parent to a scout in Scoutbook?

(1) Ensure Parent has a Scouting account

Scouting accounts are used on My Scouting, Scoutbook, or Scoutbook Plus.

If a parent does not have a Scouting account, have them Create one at My Scouting.

(2) Get ID number and Birth date from Parent 

Once the parent logs into My Scouting, they can find their Member ID on the website near their picture.

Also ask them for their Date of Birth and Last Name.

(3) Use Scoutbook Plus to link to Parent by ID

Login to Scoutbook Plus

Find the youth profile in the appropriate unit roster (select from top right hand corner drop down box). Parents can use the same drop down to select their child.

Click the (+) button in the Relationships section of their profile.

Select option Known Scouting Account ID and enter 

• Member ID in the field labeled Scouting Account ID

• Last Name

• Date of Birth 

Click Search

Relationship Member should show the parent name

Select the appropriate Relationship Type (e.g. X is Father of)

Click Save
